40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign carried out every spring and fall, in more than 60 nations, to unite the world in peaceful prayer to end abortion locally. This happens through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses.

The visible, public centerpiece of 40 Days for Life is a focused, 40-day, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. prayer vigil outside an abortion business in our community. It is a peaceful and educational presence. Those who are called to stand witness during this time send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and those who patronize it.

The vigil this year will take place from March 5th through April 13th. St. John of the Cross has been assigned Thursdays at A Woman’s World, 503 S. 12th St., Fort Pierce and we begin March 6th with our last day being April 10th.
